STATEMENT by Dr. Salesio M. Kiura, Chairman of the ICT Association of Kenya (ICTAK)

All protocols observed,

My colleague members of ICTAK

Ladies and Gentlemen, Good evening.

It gives me great pleasure to host you here at the award presentation ceremony of the ICT Value Awards. On behalf of ICTAK, I would like to express my warmest gratitude/ welcome to you all. I am honored to stand before this gathering of professionals as we inaugurate this premier Annual ICT Value Awards ceremony.

Nowhere on earth today is the word ICT not mentioned in manifestos, development blue prints, sermons in places of worship, on the Floors of parliaments and all form of representation – I bet that if the bible was to be re-written today, it would have more appearances of word ICT than the mention of "Earth"

SPEECH BY Hon. ADEN DUALE, MP Majority Leader in the National Assembly

All protocols observed

Ladies and Gentlemen, Good evening to you all.

I wish to express my appreciation to the ICT Association of Kenya for this invitation to preside over this Dinner Gala. It is indeed a great honor for me to address this professional gathering of ICT practitioners.

I am informed that a number of you will be taking home prestigious awards for your outstanding contributions that have inspired excellence within the Industry. I take this early opportunity to congratulate those of you who will be celebrated this evening and to encourage those who will miss an opportunity today not to give up.

Statement By Mr. Kamotho Njenga, Secretary General Of The Ict Association Of Kenya

I am glad to connect with you today in what goes down in history as an assembly to celebrate outstanding achievements that have brought pride to the Kenyan ICT. Never before has there been such a demonstrated interest and commitment to celebrate ICT Champions in such a focused and systematic manner. Evidently, the rapid wave of technology continues to exert a mighty influence both at the local and international scale. Labor-intensive systems are steadily being discarded; paving way for efficient ICT based solutions. Fortunately for our country, the wave of technology revolution has seen a rapid uptake of ICT in major societal and economic sectors including business, education, health, banking, trade among others.
